The Automuseum

The auto museum has been enriching the museum scene in Ostwestfalen for the past ten years. Come to the 1400 sqm museum in Lemgo and bask in the history of the automobile. The main focus of the collection is on sports cars, but there are also a few motorcycles as well as cameras from the period of the "economic miracle" of the 1950’s.

Porsche is the gem of this collection. It is quite impressive to see what a variety of vehicles they have produced throughout the years. A perfect example of this is our fire engine red Porsche tractor, which of course is not hidden in a corner, but instead displayed prominently in the middle of the exhibit. The walls are covered with Porsche traffic signs and you can even examine the way that an engine works.

The Auto museum is opened on Sunday from 12 a.m. until 4 p.m. and by prior arrangement.
