Recreation

Citizens and guests of Lemgo enjoy their time in the city wall park and the north-eastern forest called the "Lemgoer Mark", this forest has a history dating back several hundred years.

Take advantage of the many outdoor activities Lemgo has to offer. In Lemgo you can enjoy the fresh air, take a deep breath and let the stress of everyday life melt away. The typical Lippe Forest and rolling hills surrounding the town of Lemgo invite you to take a hike. A network of paths leads you through the town forest, the old city wall and along the forest ponds.

Hike without your luggage. The growing number of tourists seeking nature related trips means that even in Lemgo, you can arrange to have a guided hike and there are companies that will arrange a place for you to stay and provide you with a guide.

Enjoy the warm hospitality of the nature after sightseeing tour. Have fun walking through the Lemgoer Mark, which is one of the most extensively wooded sites in Ostwestfalen!

There are also a great number of the bicycle routs.

Aside from the attractions in Lemgo, there is also a lot to do in the county Lippe.
